Well, round 2 looked like it was going to be a smash spot and then our guys decided to just stop playing good golf. Onto the next. Most of the chalk made the cut, but we have some nice options to pick from for tomorrow.
What a fun start to the fall swing with the majority of the guys we were on starting strong. Herbert nuked for FRL, but there were a lot of cheap guys who popped off also.
West coast golf means they’re teeing off during our lunch breaks, rounds don’t end until 9pm and they’ll be on Poa greens, which tend to mess with people who are from the east coast
We’ve arrived to the final event of the 2023 season. Only 30 golfers this week and they have a tiered starting system.
This is week 2 of the playoffs, so it’s another no-cut event with 50 guys this week. The Top 30 move on to next week in Atlanta.
This will be a little different format for the next three weeks, with it being the playoffs and no-cut events, starting with a field of 70 this week, 50 next week, and 30 at East Lake. This is a par 70 course that the back 9 plays very tough, except for the par 5. We have solid course history here, and a lot of first-timers who have played exceptionally well this year.
We have arrived at the final PGA event of the regular season. This will be the last chance for a lot of guys to try and make the playoffs and secure not only your status, but also status to automatically qualify for next year\’s elevated events. We have tons of historical data, as they’ve played this event here for years, and it’s a short, par-70 course that rewards finding the fairway off the tee, as the GIR% is 20% higher from the fairway than the rough.
