TX’s NFL DFS Afternoon Slate Plays – Week 14
What’s up, 4 DEEP?! My article will cover the four afternoon games on FanDuel. Ask me any lineup questions in Discord before lock (@TX). Let’s get into it!!
UPDATES: Drew Lock is starting for Geno Smith. Bumps to 49ers defense and it impacts the offensive players. Takes me off the a little because this game should blow out early.
Favorite Stacks:
- 49ers
- Bills
- Chiefs
TX’s Elite QBs:
- Josh Allen – From a floor/ceiling standpoint, he’s the best QB we have on the slate. He’s on the road against KC this week. Their defense has been better, but I don’t see how Allen doesn’t come out there and light it up. The Bills pass 29% more when they are underdogs.
- Patrick Mahomes – Slightly cheaper on FanDuel than Allen this week. He’s at home against a Bills defense that struggles against the pass, but the receivers on the Chiefs also struggle against the pass… I would have Mahomes over Allen if his weapons were better and proven, which they aren’t.
TX’s Mid Tier QB:
- Brock Purdy – I have Purdy in the mid-tier and he could easily be in the elite tier, but I think Mahomes and Allen have an elite ceiling. Nothing wrong with going Purdy this week, I think he’s in play at home against the Seahawks.
- Russell Wilson – Solid floor going against one of the worst defenses against the pass. The Chargers rank 26th in yards allowed and 28th in attempts allowed.
TX’s Door #3 QB:
- Josh Dobbs – He’s the wildcard this week against the Raiders. We should be getting Jefferson back and that increases Dobbs’ ceiling.
TX’s Elite RBs:
- CMC – Continues to be the best running back in the league. Highest floor and ceiling combo on the slate and crushed Seattle a few weeks ago.
TX’s Mid Tier RBs:
- CEH / McKinnon – Pacheco is out and I prefer the redzone looks CEH has, but on DK McKinnon is interesting with the ability to get targets out of the backfield.
- Josh Jacobs – Scores 82% more fantasy points in domes. Not my favorite play by any means, but he can flash a decent ceiling.
TX’s Door #3 RBs:
- James Cook – Nice price and nice floor and ceiling combo in a high total game.
TX’s Elite WRs:
- Deebo Samuel – He’s just too cheap for the upside he has.
- Keenan Allen – Best floor and ceiling combo at the price point.
- Stefon Diggs – High total game and should have plenty of opportunities on offense to score fantasy points.
- Justin Jefferson – It’s his first week back and Dobbs is at QB. If he were slightly cheaper, I’d have him ranked a little higher.
TX’s Mid Tier WRs:
- DK Metcalf – We finally got the DK game we have all been waiting for last week. The 49ers’ defense is tough, but they are ranked 26th in touchdowns allowed and 25th in yards allowed.
- Courtland Sutton – Redzone monster and scores touchdowns. Doesn’t have the highest ceiling.
- Gabe Davis – He has no floor, but huge upside.
TX’s Door #3 WRs:
- Davante Adams / Jakobi Meyers – It’s hard to trust this offense, but they are at home against the Vikings. I like Adams for the upside and Meyers for the value.
- Rashee Rice – His role is developing in this offense, and he’s taken advantage of it.
TX’s Elite TEs:
- Travis Kelce – I think we have a big game coming this week. He’s at home and it’s a high total game and the Chiefs need to win this one.
- TJ Hockenson – I like Hock more with JJ back. I think it opens up some room for him.
- George Kittle – With so many options on the 49ers, it definitely impacts Kittle. He’s got the homerun threat though, and he’s way cheaper than Hock and Kelce.
TX’s Mid Tier TEs:
- Dalton Kincaid – High total game and he has a nice price tag on him.
- Gerald Everett – Nice match-up against the Broncos. The Broncos over their last nine games rank 32nd in yards allowed to tight ends.
TX’s Door #3 TEs:
- Michael Mayer – Cheap and seeing some decent targets. The Raiders should be playing from behind, so the check downs should be there.
Defenses:
- 49ers
- Broncos
- Bills
