Healy’s Daily MLB DraftKings Plays – 9/13/23

Healy's MLB DFS Breakdown

Healy’s MLB Daily Fantasy Intro:

Excited to bring my MLB GPP cheatsheet back to the team at 4DEEP, where we will look to build upon all of our past success. Today, I’ll be covering the main slate beginning at 7:07pm. If you’re not familiar with this piece, it will be broken down into the following three sections. A cheat sheet with three tiers of players (each pricing tier is based on DraftKings positions/pricing and includes my preferred cash plays from each position), my favorite stacks to target and which players in said stacks I prefer, and lastly, my “Today’s Edge” section, which covers my edge play/fade of the slate, top HR picks, and the players I expect to be the top performers.

Cheatsheet:

I’m here to give you the players to consider for your 9/13/23 MLB GPPs. This isn’t a list of every player I will have, but rather the top guys I am including in my stacks/core, whether it be as a matchup-based play, ownership-based play, or even a leverage play, they will all be included in this core list.

$ Tier SP C 1B 2B 3B SS OF
Top Tier Blake Snell Mitch Garver Christian Walker Marcus Semien  Raf Devers Corey Seager Judge/Soto
Mid Tier Zac Gallen Luis Campusano Triston Casas Zack Gelof Man Machado Trev Story Yoshida/Pham
Value Tier Braxton Garrett Shea Langeliers Ryan Noda Gleyber Torres Oswald Peraza Jordan Lawlar Brown/Abreu

Pitching Pool:

  • Blake Snell – SD @ LAD – DK: $10.1k
  • Zac Gallen – ARI @ NYM – DK: $9.8k
  • Braxton Garrett – MIA @ MIL – DK: $7.7k

Stacks:

  1. Oakland A’s: Top leverage stack of the night facing a chalky Hunter Brown. Since the ASB, Brown has been an average at best arm, seeing his strikeouts dip over 5% while generating ground balls at a 10% less rate. Quietly, the A’s will trot out 6-7 bats all with a solid .iso over .180 in the split. Seth Brown and Ryan Noda are the pieces to build around.
  2. Red Sox: Red Sox did their homework and lined up five consecutive LHH vs. Schmidt. Those are the obvious pieces to build around, while I’m open to 6-8 if further value is needed.
  3. Yankees: While I’d like to see a few more LHH vs. Houck, the RHH in this lineup do profile well vs. him, especially his sinker. 2-4 are the clear top plays, but we can also go down to the young talented kids, Volpe, Pereira, Peraza, etc.
  4. Mini one-offs/power: D-backs, Padres

Today’s Edge:

  • Home Run Predictions:
    • Seth Brown
    • Triston Casas
  • Highest Scoring Hitter: Raf Devers
  • Highest Scoring Pitcher: Blake Snell
  • Top Value Play: Seth Brown
  • Player to Fade: Hunter Brown
  • Slate Edge: Ryan Noda
