ABER's MLB Daily Fantasy Plays

What’s up, 4Deep?! Baseball is here and I’m ready to put us in the driver’s seat to hopefully take down some tournaments this year! First and foremost, baseball is the only sport that I consistently play multiple lineups. I HIGHLY recommend at least playing two lineups. Fading chalk in baseball is usually the key to taking down tournaments, but is not always the correct move. What I will be providing below is an in-depth breakdown of my top stacks of the night and I will always start with what I believe will be the chalk, followed with my favorite pitchers as well. Generally speaking, chalk is usually chalk because they are in a good spot and I will be telling you whether or not I agree with it. What I want though, is for you to understand what is chalk and then determine whether or not you want to play them! Now, let’s get to the fun part with a lot of numbers and all the pitch data you can handle!

Chalk Stack Of The Day

Houston Astros vs. Paul Blackburn (RH)

I am probably one of the five people in the world that have respect for Blackburn as a pitcher, but he is not bad. He’s definitely not great, and the Astros can get to him and/or crush this bullpen, so it’s terrible chalk, but it’s a fade for me tonight.

Top Stacks Of The Day

Baltimore Orioles vs. Drew Rom (LH)

Rom has not been good in his short major league stint with wobas over .400 to both sides of the plate. He’s also not missing any right handed bats, which has a couple guys on red alert for me. My favorites in order are Ryan Mountcastle, Anthony Santander, Adley Rutschman, and Aaron Hicks.

Atlanta Bravess vs. Cristopher Sanchez (LH)

Same ole story with the Braves. Orlando Arcia, Ronald Acuna, Ozzie Albies, Marcel Ozuna, but by all means, stack them anyway you can.

Top Spend Up Pitcher Of The Day

Zac Gallen (RH) vs. New York Mets

On the high end, the matchups aren’t the greatest with Strider facing the league’s #1 offense in the split over the last 30 days, which has me on Gallen for the savings. The Mets have also been a low-strikeout team, but that’s changed lately. I also like the D-backs to get the win here to help raise Gallen’s FP floor.

Top Mid Tier Pitcher Of The Day

Tanner Houck (RH) vs. New York Yankees

Kutter reminded us last night how bad the Yankees are in the split. With the slates being split, Houck is my preferred value on DraftKings, but I’m obviously fine with him on both.

Top Value Pitcher Of The Day

Connor Phillips (RH) vs. Detroit Tigers

Phillips was an extremely high strikeout pitcher for his entire minor league career and he flashed it in his first start, with seven Ks against the Mariners. The Tigers always eat me alive no matter what side I’m on, so take that for what it’s worth, but I LOVE the idea of getting down to Phillips tonight at this tag. There are not a lot of pitchers in this pricing tier that ever have 10-strikeout upside and Phillips does.
