TX’s 8/2/23 MLB Early Slate Breakdown

Intro:
What’s up, 4 DEEP?! My article will cover the early set of games. The sites have the slates broken down differently, so I will cover all the early games. Let’s get into it!

TX’s Elite Pitching:

• Eduardo Rodriguez – Taking the mound against the Pirates today. The Pirates have a 29% K-rate, .293 wOBA, .112 iso to lefties. Rodriguez has scored 44 FPPG in three games as an underdog and 35 FPPG over his last nine games.

• Zack Wheeler – Tougher match-up against the Marlins than I like, but Wheeler has one of the highest ceilings on the slates. Wheeler has scored 53 FPPG over his last two games.

TX’s Mid-Tier Pitching:

• Wade Miley – The Nationals have a .304 wOBA to lefties and a .134 iso to lefties. Miley has scored 35 FPPG in the two games he has been favored.

• Kutter Crawford – Crawford scores 54% more fantasy points when he is on the road. He is averaging 33 FPPG in away games. The Mariners have a 25% K-rate to righties.

TX’s Door #3 Pitcher:

• Joe Musgrove – He’s pitching in Coors, so there is some risk to him and that’s why he’s Door #3 today. He’s heavily favored today, and the Rockies have a 28% K-rate to righties.
