TX’s Elite Pitching:
- Tyler Glasnow – Road favorite taking on the Giants tonight. He’s averaged 52 FPPG over his last two games and an average distance of 131 feet, in the top 90%.
- Max Scherzer – Soft match-up for Mad Max. We know what we are going to get from him night in and night out. Price is a little steep for me, but the Angels have been struggling of late.
TX’s Mid-Tier Pitching:
- Grayson Rodriguez – Decent value on the slate on the road in a pitcher’s park. It seems like the Padres have basically quit on the season already, so I’m interested in going here. Rodriguez is in the top 90% of average distance at 127 feet.
- Miles Mikolas – Home favorite in a pitcher’s park taking on the A’s tonight. The A’s have a 25% K-rate and a .286 wOBA to righties.
- Carlos Carrasco – Cheap with a soft match-up against the Pirates. Not an overall fan of Carrasco but every now and then he can surprise us.
TX’s Door #3 Pitcher:
- Merrill Kelly – The Rockies have a 29% K-rate to righties. The reason why Kelly is Door #3 today is because the game is at Coors. The Rockies have a .200 batting average against Kelly in 60 at bats.
