Scarface’s 2023 NFL Week 7 Intro:
Welcome, 4Deeps, to my weekly NFL GPP article. Time to pick up right where we left off last year, coming off my best NFL season and helping you guys win also. I want to welcome the new subs and let you know that it won’t be pretty every week, but the weeks that are, we will go straight to the top.
DFS ONLY SUBS: Add a betting monthly package for 30% off with code DFSSUB at checkout. This offer is only good this weekend, so upgrade now!
In this article, I will list my favorite plays at each position with a mini breakdown, followed by some game stack ideas we can use in GPPs, and my Core 4 building blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel. In keeping with the Scarface theme, I will conclude with my “Say Hello to My Little Friend” (Slate Edge Play), “Every Dog Has His Day” (Favorite Value Play), and “Say Goodnight to the Bad Guy” (Chalk Fade).
Also don’t forget to check out the Mayhem Minute section on Game Day for a more narrowed breakdown of my favorite plays at each position.
Thoughts on the Slate:
At first glance, this slate looks ugly AF. It’s loaded with low totals and bad QBs, but I love slates like this. It allows you to get a little cute, and cute can sometimes pay off.
UPDATES: PLEASE CHECK BACK SUNDAY MORNING FOR UPDATES.
I will be available in Discord (@Scarface521) Sunday Mornings for any questions you have about your lineups. 💪🏻
QB:
- Josh Allen – I prefer spending up to him over Chalk Mahomes or Herbert.
- Lamar Jackson – Letdown spot for Detroit, we could see some big plays out of Lamar.
- Jordan Love – Offense looks healthy and I think this game shoots out a little.
- Russell Wilson – Got heckled on the Roundtable for liking him, as if he were facing the Steel Curtain or something. He’s cheap in a home matchup against a bad team. Who cares if he sucks, he’s still gonna put up points.
- Josh Dobbs – His time is coming to an end and should put up a fight. He’s cheap and should be trailing in this game.
RB:
- Austin Ekeler – He’s had big games against KC in the past and should be the focal point of this offense.
- Kenneth Walker – Close to lock button for me.
- Josh Jacobs – Hasn’t had the breakout week yet, but this is a good week for it.
- Aaron Jones – Super sneaky, slate-breaking upside matchup that many will be too scared to play because of that Q tag.
- Jerome Ford – Ran well last week against SF and Indy is missing key pieces to the D-Line. His price on DK is tough to pass up.
- Rhamondre Stevenson – Looks like he came back to life last week and I think New England makes a game of it.
- Rams RBs – This one could get tricky, but it could be the key to a winning lineup. We’re gonna monitor status and ownership through lock so stay tuned in discord.
WR:
- Cooper Kupp – Priced back to normal, but he seems back to normal.
- Stefon Diggs – Under the radar MVP season. Has had plenty of success against NE in the past and will come in lower owned.
- Davante Adams – Complained all week about lack of targets. Will the Raiders listen?
- Terry McLaurin – 11 targets last week, great matchup this week. Betting he catches his first TD of the year.
- Gabe Davis – You can tell I’m high on the Buffalo passing game.
- Romeo Doubs – Great matchup and great price.
- Marquise Brown / Michael Wilson – Brown’s price never goes up and he is seeing a ton of targets. Wilson is in the same spot as him, but lower priced and lower owned.
- Kendrick Bourne – The Pats’ best receiver is cheap and in a game I think scores high.
- Josh Palmer – Keenan’s price is way too high, but Palmer’s has dropped and he’s seeing seven targets a game.
TE:
- Travis Kelce – The only piece of the Chiefs I trust and would pay for.
- Mark Andrews – I see a big game from him. TEs are the way to attack the Lions’ D.
- Luke Musgrave – You can tell I like the Packers this week.
- David Njoku – The Colts give it up to the TE and Njoku is seeing 80% of the snaps.
DEF:
Defense is always a crapshoot. My strategy most weeks is to build out my lineups first and see which defenses I land on. These are some that I will be using:
- Giants
- Commanders
- Buccaneers
- Seahawks
- Browns
- Ravens
Game Stack Ideas For GPPs:
- Bills at Patriots – Josh Allen / Diggs and/or Gabe Davis. Run it back with Rhamondre or Bourne.
- Packers – Love / Doubs or Watson / Musgrave
- Cardinals at Seahawks – Dobbs / Brown or Wilson. Run it back with Walker.
Core 4 on FanDuel:
- Walker/Ford/Diggs/Royce Freeman
Core 4 on DraftKings:
- Walker/Ford /Palmer/Kelce
