Welcome, 4Deeps, to my weekly NFL GPP article. Time to pick up right where we left off last year, coming off my best NFL season and helping you guys win also. I want to welcome the new subs and let you know that it won’t be pretty every week, but the weeks that are, we will go straight to the top.

In this article, I will list my favorite plays at each position with a mini breakdown, followed by some game stack ideas we can use in GPPs, and my Core 4 building blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel. In keeping with the Scarface theme, I will conclude with my “Say Hello to My Little Friend” (Slate Edge Play), “Every Dog Has His Day” (Favorite Value Play), and “Say Goodnight to the Bad Guy” (Chalk Fade).
Also don’t forget to check out the Mayhem Minute section on Game Day for a more narrowed breakdown of my favorite plays at each position.
UPDATES: PLEASE CHECK BACK SUNDAY MORNING FOR UPDATES.
I will be available in Discord (@Scarface521) Sunday Mornings for any questions you have about your lineups. 💪🏻
SUNDAY MORNING UPDATE: Keep an eye on the weather in Seattle, it looks like it should clear up which puts Geno stacks firmly in play. Adding Mclaurin, Dotson and JSN to my player pool. Also I’ve been landing on a lot of Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren in my builds. If they make your lineups work then you can definitely use them.
QB:
- Joe Burrow – Highest-owned QB against a bad defense. Burrow is a very tough fade given the lack of QB options on this slate.
- Dak Prescott – How many points will Dallas hang on the Giants? Even in a non-competitive game, I think Dak can put up a slate winning number.
- Geno Smith – Best matchup for any QB, but I would monitor the weather. It’s supposed to be raining throughout the game, so his upside could be capped.
- Jared Goff – The Chargers struggle against good offenses and the Lions are coming off of a bye week healthy. Love Goff stacks.
- Brock Purdy – Fresh off a bye week and Deebo is back.
- Will Levis – You saw what Stroud did to this defense last week. I’m not saying he’s busting the slate like Stroud did, but they are down another man in the TB secondary and he’s an easy fit in lineups with his receivers.
RB:
- Christian McCaffrey – Going for an NFL-record 18th straight game with a TD. It’s always just a price issue with CMC. If you can fit him, play him.
- Tony Pollard – Is this his week? Hard to imagine it isn’t. I will be heavily invested in him regardless of ownership.
- Kenneth Walker – If the weather is as bad as forecasted, I will have more interest in him.
- Joe Mixon – Mixon at home against one of the worst run D’s in the league. Always for me.
- Bijan Robinson – Another RB that has screwed us plenty. Of course I’m going back to him in this matchup.
- Aaron Jones – Back to a full workload and is underpriced.
- Alexander Mattison – Not a fan of his, but his price is nice for the usage he will see.
WR:
- Ja’Marr Chase – Tough fade with Higgins out.
- Amon-Ra St. Brown – Homecoming game for the Sun God. Slot receivers feast on the Chargers D. One of my favorite plays on the slate.
- Brandon Aiyuk – Coming off a bye, they will find ways to get him open.
- DK Metcalf – The weather is an issue here, but Metcalf over Lockett for me.
- Christian Kirk – Great tournament play that is going overlooked.
- DeAndre Hopkins – He’s been a different receiver with Levis under center and TB can’t cover him.
- Tank Dell – Nico out.
- Diontae Johnson – Too many targets to ignore at his price.
- Tyler Boyd / Trent Erwin – Higgins out.
- Rashid Shaheed – Always in play for his upside.
- Brandin Cooks / Michael Gallup – One of these guys is catching a bomb to the house.
TE:
- Sam LaPorta – Expensive, but worth it.
- Dalton Schultz – Nico out.
- Evan Engram – Good matchup.
- Jake Ferguson – All Cowboys are in play.
- Logan Thomas – Could see a lot of targets in bad weather.
- Trey McBride – Chalky, but cheap enough to make your lineups work.
- Chig Okonkwu – Increase in targets with Burks out.
DEF:
Defense is always a crapshoot. My strategy most weeks is to build out my lineups first and see which defenses I land on. These are some that I will be using:
- Dallas
- Cinci
- Seattle
- Atlanta
- New Orleans
Game Stack Ideas For GPPs:
- Bengals vs. Texans – Burrow / Chase / Boyd or Erwin. Run it back with Dell or Schultz.
- 49ers at Jaguars – Purdy / CMC / Aiyuk. Run it back with Kirk or Engram.
- Titans vs. Bucs – Levis / Hopkins / Chig. Run it back with Evans.
- Lions at Chargers – Goff / St. Brown / LaPorta. Run it back with Quentin Johnston.
- Cowboys – Dak / Pollard / Cooks, Gallup, or Ferguson.
Core 4 on FanDuel:
- Goff/Mixon/Pollard/Amon Ra St. Brown
Core 4 on DraftKings:
- Levis/Mixon/Pollard/Hopkins/Chig Okonkwo
