Price’s 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship DFS Breakdown

Price's 2023 FedEx Breakdown

This will be a little different format for the next three weeks, with it being the playoffs and no-cut events, starting with a field of 70 this week, 50 next week, and 30 at East Lake. This is a par 70 course that the back 9 plays very tough, except for the par 5. We have solid course history here, and a lot of first-timers who have played exceptionally well this year. All prices listed are for DraftKings.

Notes:

  • Scheffler – Best player in the world minus putter, easy to fit. Rates 2nd in my model.
  • Rory – Rates seventh, has been elite this season, and has amazing course history here.
  • Rahm, Hovland, Xander rate 3, 4, and 1, respectively, for me. Lean Xander for the price savings.
  • Cantlay hasn’t really contended all season, so I prefer Hatton or Fowler.
  • Spieth is intriguing, like him a lot, no chance I touch Morikawa because he sucks anytime I use him. Tommy is meh, but should T20.
  • I’m out on the top half of the $8k range, they don’t do it for me this week. We’ve used Clark all season. He’s my preferred play in this range.
  • Really kind of despise this $8k besides Clark, and then Burns, who’s historically done well here.
  • Henley is a choker, but priced reasonably. I like Straka and Conners a lot. Benny An has been gaining strokes putting, so he is going to be in play again.
  • Glover coming in off the win, and is probably the best in-form golfer priced too cheap.
  • Rose is my next favorite, followed by Grillo. Jaeger is always tempting, but his irons went to shit this weekend, and Cam Davis is always fun in no-cuts because of his birdie upside.
  • English is my favorite cheap $7k guy, coming in with great form with his irons.
  • Smalley needs a new putter and he will T20.
  • Norrman rates 24th at $6700, playing great this season.
  • Hubbard and Schenk are scary because they rate well, but have sucked their last couple times out.
  • Putnam actually has good history here, so I love him at $6400. Nick Taylor is the cheapest player I would go, has won on tour multiple times, including contending at elevated events this year.
