Healy’s MLB Daily Fantasy Plays – 9/26/23

Healy's MLB DFS Breakdown

Healy’s MLB Daily Fantasy Intro:

Excited to bring my MLB GPP cheatsheet back to the team at 4DEEP, where we will look to build upon all of our past success. Today, I’ll be covering the main slate beginning at 7:07pm. If you’re not familiar with this piece, it will be broken down into the following three sections. A cheat sheet with three tiers of players (each pricing tier is based on DraftKings positions/pricing and includes my preferred cash plays from each position), my favorite stacks to target and which players in said stacks I prefer, and lastly, my “Today’s Edge” section, which covers my edge play/fade of the slate, top HR picks, and the players I expect to be the top performers.

Cheatsheet:

I’m here to give you the players to consider for your 9/26/23 MLB GPPs. This isn’t a list of every player I will have, but rather the top guys I am including in my stacks/core, whether it be as a matchup-based play, ownership-based play, or even a leverage play, they will all be included in this core list.

$ Tier SP C 1B 2B 3B SS OF
Top Tier Kevin Gausman W. Contreras F. Freeman M. Semien Max Muncy Corey Seager JD Mart/Robert
Mid Tier Cristian Javier L. O’Hoppe C. Santana Brandon Drury J. Dongaldson Willy Adames Garcia/Outman
Value Tier Mike King N. Fortes J. Walsh J. Berti M. Stefanic Zach Neto Adell/Canha

Pitching Pool:

  • Kevin Gausman – TOR @ NYY – DK: $11.5k / FD: $11.1k
  • Bailey Ober – MIN vs. OAK – DK: $9.1k / FD: $9k
  • Cristian Javier – HOU @ SEA – DK: $8k / FD: $7.7k
  • Mike King – NYY @ TOR – DK: $6k / FD: $8.6k

Stacks:

  1. Dodgers: We will have to monitor lineups in game 2 of a double header where they will face Ryan Feltner, who comes in with a generous 15% walk rate. 1-5 are the clear top plays with Max Muncy being the top play. Heyward is my preferred value at the bottom.
  2. Rangers: With the strikeouts for Reid Detmers slowing down as we close out the season, I’d expect a few of the flyballs he allows to leave the park. Jung, Garcia, and Semien are the top plays with Lowe and Seager being secondary pieces.
  3. Brewers: Expect to see eight RHH after Yelich, all of which profile fairly well vs. LHP Zack Thompson. Santana and Contreras look best while the resurgence of Dongaldson makes for a solid secondary piece.
  4. Angels: With only one bat over $4k, this is my favorite value stack. They have several power RHH that have big upside in a low K matchup with Cody Bradford. Drury is my favorite, but Logan O’Hoppe and Jo Adell have massive pop in the split for secondary options.

Today’s Edge:

  • Home Run Predictions:
    • Jo Adell
    • Max Muncy
  • Highest Scoring Hitter: Fred Freeman
  • Highest Scoring Pitcher: Kevin Gausman
  • Top Value Play: Zach Neto
  • Player to Fade: Tim Anderson
  • Slate Edge: Adolis Garcia
