BEN’S DAILY FANTASY INTRO
What’s up, 4Deep!? We have a massive 11-game slate on our hands, which is odd for a Sunday slate, but let’s take advantage! We have plenty of pitchers and stacks to choose from, which is how I like it, and ownership shouldn’t be anything to worry about. Let’s take something down tonight and good luck to our boy, Scarface, who’s going to bring home the Live Final trophy for us on FanDuel today! LFG!!!
PITCHERS
- Aaron Nola DK $10,400 – Fair price and this Cardinal lineup has been baaad. I trust Nola a lot more than Verlander, especially being $600 cheaper.
- Jordan Montgomery DK $9,400 – When factoring in price, Monty is one of my favorite pitchers on the slate. This is the split we want to attack the Twins in and he has a great floor/ceiling combo.
- Jack Flaherty DK $8,400 – Simple Jack always crushes my hopes and dreams when I use him, but as long as his command is there, he should have no problem handling this Rockies’ lineup. Also should be in line to get the W, which always helps.Â
- Paul Blackburn DK $8,300 – Love Blackburn here, especially with no Robert in the lineup. Will be a staple in my builds this afternoon.
- Mike Clevinger DK $7,500 – Cheap enough for me to take the risk. His velocity has been up his last few starts, which has helped him tremendously, outside of facing a white-hot Mariners team. I prefer Blackburn, but if you need the savings, I’m fine with Clevinger.
STACKS
- Blue Jays – The upside teams get going up against Thor is unreal. A single can easily turn into eight points with a stolen base and double steals in your stack can literally break a slate. 1-7 are who we want with my main focus being on guys who can swipe some bags like Bo, Varsho, and Springer.
- Rays – I think the Rays come in low here and I love it. Rodon is projecting well and this lineup has crushed LHP all season. Arozarena, Ramirez, Basabe, and Paredes all profile great.
- Phillies – This lineup just keeps hitting and now they to get to face rookie pitcher Drew Rom, who looked awful in his first start against the Pirates. Casty, Bohm, Schwarber, Harper, and Stott lead the way for me against lefties, but you can always include Turner/JT Realmuto in stacks.
- Astros – Faedo isn’t an awful pitcher, but I don’t think he has the stuff to shut down this Astros lineup who went nuts yesterday. He’s a bit of a reverse splits type of pitcher and struggles against righties more so than lefties, making Altuve, Bregman, and McCormick the main staples in my stacks, then including one of Alvarez/Tucker to round it out.Â
- Marlins – Williams must of eaten his Wheaties before his last start because he shoved against the Phillies, but he’s simply not a good pitcher. He struggles against lefties and righties and gives up power to both. 1-7 all in play here with Jazz and Burger being my favorites.Â
