Ben’s 8/7/23 MLB Breakdown

What’s up, 4Deep!? We have a fun slate tonight with tons of pitching! Got held over at work this afternoon, so going to keep this short and sweet, but I’ll be in discord all night to answer any questions. LFG!!

PITCHERS

Spencer Strider DK $12,800 – Insane price tag, but does get a good matchup. He will need to get 40+ to kill us at this price. If you can find the savings, play him. If you can’t, I’m fine fading.
Gerrit Cole DK $11,300 – Has been steady Eddy and gets a great matchup against the White Sox. Still think the price is a bit much, but will take the $1,500 savings over Strider.
Freddy Peralta DK $9,600 – Peralta has been a stud this year and I LOVE him in this spot against the Rockies. Nice savings off of Strider/Cole as well.
Brayan Bello DK $9,000 – Pitchers are always in play against the Royals and I could see Bello having a huge game here.
Dane Dunning DK $7,200 – Do I think Dunning is any good? No! But the A’s have been a team to pick on all season and this is by far the safest play if you’re looking to spend down at pitcher tonight.

STACKS

Braves – #ALWAYSBRAVES
Rangers – Stacks are always in play against OAK and with this being at their field, I think they come in low-owned. I LOVE this spot.
Cubs – Cubs have been the hottest team since the All-Star break and we can get them low-owned here. Senga has had control problems all season making this stack 100% in play.
Red Sox – Ragans is a reverse splits guy in the limited sample we have, which makes this stack even better. Load up on the righties and throw in one of Devers, Casas, Yoshida in the mix. I rank them in that order.
