ABER's MLB Daily Fantasy Plays

What’s up, 4Deep?! Baseball is here and I’m ready to put us in the driver’s seat to hopefully take down some tournaments this year! First and foremost, baseball is the only sport that I consistently play multiple lineups. I HIGHLY recommend at least playing two lineups. Fading chalk in baseball is usually the key to taking down tournaments, but is not always the correct move. What I will be providing below is an in-depth breakdown of my top stacks of the night and I will always start with what I believe will be the chalk, followed with my favorite pitchers as well. Generally speaking, chalk is usually chalk because they are in a good spot and I will be telling you whether or not I agree with it. What I want though, is for you to understand what is chalk and then determine whether or not you want to play them! Now, let’s get to the fun part with a lot of numbers and all the pitch data you can handle!

Chalk Stack Of The Day

Houston Astros vs. Jordan Lyles (RH)

How can you not like this spot? The Astros have been the best offense in the split over the last month. My favorite plays in order are Yordan Alvarez, Kyle Tucker, Jose Altuve, and Yanier Diaz, but I’m fine with stacking them anyway you can.

Top Stacks Of The Day

Cincinnati Reds vs. Bailey Falter (LH)

TJ Friedl, Joey Votto, Spencer Steer, and Christian Encarnacion-Strand.

Kansas City Royals vs. JP France (RH)

Nelson Velasquez, Bobby Witt, Edward Olivares, and Logan Porter.

Top Spend Up Pitcher Of The Day

Jordan Montgomery (LH) vs. Seattle Mariners

While the Mariners have been playing extremely great baseball as of late, they’re still in the top 10 in K rate. The risk is that they can do some damage, but the floor should be intact given the strikeout upside. I’m personally probably not going to be spending up on tonight’s slate, but if you did, this would be my choice.

Top Mid Tier Pitcher Of The Day

Connor Phillips (RH) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

Phillips is likely where I will be leaning for most of my exposure tonight, which is a mediocre matchup on the surface. The Pirates are striking out at the 12th highest K rate in the split this month, but Phillips has been reverse splits in a limited sample with a 30% K rate against left handed hitting. The Pirates will likely platoon as many lefties into the lineup as they can, which may lead to 6-7 of them. There’s not really any smash pitching plays tonight, but Connor is my favorite.

Top Value Pitcher Of The Day

Bailey Falter (LH) vs. Cincinnati Reds

With the Reds being one of my top stacks, we see how I feel about the pitching tonight. I’m not too thrilled about rostering pitchers in Cincinnati, and I’m also not even sure there are three pitchers that are playable tonight. The Reds have taken a little bit of a step back since all the hype happened over a month ago. They are just volatile and can strike out. If I was getting into any Falter exposure, I would make sure I have another lineup with Reds.
