What’s up, 4Deep?! Baseball is here and I’m ready to put us in the driver’s seat to hopefully take down some tournaments this year! First and foremost, baseball is the only sport that I consistently play multiple lineups. I HIGHLY recommend at least playing two lineups. Fading chalk in baseball is usually the key to taking down tournaments, but is not always the correct move. What I will be providing below is an in-depth breakdown of my top stacks of the night and I will always start with what I believe will be the chalk, followed with my favorite pitchers as well. Generally speaking, chalk is usually chalk because they are in a good spot and I will be telling you whether or not I agree with it. What I want though, is for you to understand what is chalk and then determine whether or not you want to play them! Now, let’s get to the fun part with a lot of numbers and all the pitch data you can handle!
Chalk Stack Of The Day
Cincinnati Reds vs. Jake Irvin (RH)
I’m in for the chalk today. Irvin doesn’t miss bats and we know the upside this offense has when they’re getting on base. Elly De La Cruz, Matt McLain, TJ Friedl, and Joey Votto, but 1-9 is in play.
Top Stacks Of The Day
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Dallas Keuchel (LH)
Corbin Carroll, Ketel Marte, Lourdes Gurriel, and Christian Walker.
Boston Red Sox vs. Chris Bassitt (RH)
Rafael Devers, Jalen Duren, Masataka Yoshida, and Triston Casas.
Washington Nationals vs. Lyon Richardson (RH)
It will likely be a bullpen day for the Reds, but I will be leaning into the Nationals for value today, but likely not full stacking. CJ Abrams, Dom Smith, Joey Meneses, Keibert Ruiz.
Top Spend Up Pitcher Of The Day
Zac Gallen (RH) vs. Minnesota Twins
Pitching is kinda rough today. Gallen is my preferred play and someone I would like to try my hardest to get up to, because the other options just don’t grade out anywhere near as good as Gallen.
Top Mid Tier Pitcher Of The Day
Brandon Woodruff (RH) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
He threw 72 pitches in his last rehab start, so he should be in for 75-85 pitches today.
Top Value Pitcher Of The Day
Johan Oviedo (RH) vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Johan is a fine mid tier option on FD and he is the value pitcher on DK.
