TX’s NFL DFS Afternoon Slate Plays – Week 4
What’s up, 4 DEEP?! My article will cover the afternoon games on FanDuel. It’s a three-game slate, so I try to give my thoughts on more players than usual to give us some options. So, if you see both running backs or receivers listed on a team, it’s just to get some info on them to open your player pool. Let’s get into it!!
UPDATES:
TX’s Favorite Stacks:
- Chargers – Herbert/Allen/Kelley or Parham (Johnson or Palmer to get different)
- 49ers – Purdy/Kittle/CMC or Deebo (Aiyuk or Bell to get different)
- Cowboys – Dak/Lamb/Pollard or Gallup (prefer him over Cooks)
TX’s Elite QBs:
- Justin Herbert – Dude is an absolute stud, every time I watch him throw the ball it amazes me with how hard, and accurate, he throws it. He’s the highest priced QB on the slate, but he has the best floor and ceiling out of the options we have.
TX’s Mid Tier QB:
- Brock Purdy – Big discount from Herbert in a game at home versus the Cardinals. He has tons of weapons and brings a solid floor, but he lacks the upside of Herbert.
- Dak Prescott – The Patriots are 27th in touchdowns allowed and 29th in passing attempts allowed. I think the Cowboys have a decent bounce back spot here.
- Mac Jones – The Patriots should be playing from behind and Jones brings a serviceable floor and can flash a decent ceiling at this price point.
TX’s Door #3 QB:
- Jimmy Garoppolo – If he clears concussion protocol, I think he’s in play against the Chargers. If he doesn’t, I have no interest in Hoyer expect for a deep tournament/milly maker play.
TX’s Elite RBs:
- CMC – He’s got a big price tag and needs a great game to pay it off. I think he has a chance to in this match-up, though.
- Tony Pollard – We have to have some interest in him here because of his home run threat and discount from CMC.
TX’s Mid Tier RBs:
- James Conner – At this price, and with his fantasy production, I think he’s in all of our lineups. He doesn’t flash a huge ceiling, but the floor is there and you never know when he can find the end zone twice and finish in the mid-20s.
- Josh Kelley – He’s going to carry some ownership against this Raider defense, and I think it’s a good move to roster him and Conner and then flex in an expense back.
- Josh Jacobs – He’s a play-at-your-own-risk this week. He has the skill set and talent, but the Raiders’ offense has lacked production.
TX’s Door #3 RBs:
- Zeke Elliott – Revenge game and cheap price. I think he could fall into the end zone twice here.
TX’s Elite WRs:
- Keenan Allen – No Mike Williams and no Ekeler. He’s going to get a ton of opportunities.
- CeeDee Lamb – Getting a discount on him this week on FanDuel against a Patriot defense that is 29th in touchdowns allowed to WRs and 24th in receiving yards allowed.
- Davante Adams – I only have interest if Jimmy plays.
TX’s Mid Tier WRs:
- Jakobi Meyers – Coming off a 12-target game and playing in the highest-total game on the afternoon slate.
- Josh Palmer – Stepping in for Mike Williams after his ACL injury. He should carry a lot of ownership and is a nice value piece.
- Kendrick Bourne – I like this spot for Bourne and he’s produced against the Cowboys in the past.
- Marquise Goodwin – The 49ers rank 24th to WRs in touchdowns allowed and 28th to WRs in yards allowed. He’s scored in back to back games and at just $6,000, I think we can play him.
- JuJu Smith-Schuster – He’s so underwhelming, but who else is there to catch passes f not Hunter Henry?
TX’s Door #3 WRs:
- Quentin Johnston – Nice option to fill the Williams deep threat role.
- Ronnie Bell – Sneaky play at a cheap price.
- Hunter Renfrow – The Chargers rank 26th to WR3’s and have allowed 10+ fantasy points three games in a row. I would have more interest if Jimmy G starts.
- Michael Wilson – Digging deep for a play with this one, but he’s had his opportunities. The 49ers rank 31st to WR3’s.
TX’s Elite TEs:
- George Kittle – Probably my favorite 49ers’ play. In Kittle’s last three games against the Cardinals, he’s scored six touchdowns.
TX’s Mid Tier TEs:
- Hunter Henry – Henry is coming off a down game, but has scored touchdowns both times he’s faced the Cowboys. The Patriots’ receivers are weak, so the ball has to go somewhere.
- Donald Parham/Gerald Everett – Prefer Parham in this situation because of his redzone opportunities, but both are in play.
- Zach Ertz – Coming off a bad game, but I still have faith in his opportunities. The game has a high total and he should be involved.
TX’s Door #3 TEs:
- Austin Hooper – Dart throw at a tight end who can end up in the box.
Defenses:
- Cowboys – At home, and needing to bounce back after being embarrassed by the Cardinals last Sunday.
- 49ers – I think they will carry more ownership than the Cowboys. Largest favorite of the week at home against the Cardinals.
- Chargers – The cheapest I’m going, but if Hoyer starts, they become the #1 defense to play at home, price considered.
