TX’s MLB Daily Fantasy Plays – 9/29/23

TX's MLB DFS Breakdown

TX’s Daily Fantasy Intro:

What’s up, 4DEEP?! We have 13 games on the FanDuel and DraftKings Main Slates today. Let’s get into it!

Elite Pitching:

  • Joe Ryan – (MIN @ COL) – FD: $10k / DK: $9k – Only issue here is the game is in Coors, but I like the match-up with Ryan against the Rockies. The Rockies have a 27% K-rate to righties and Ryan scores 46 FPPG on average when he’s a heavy favorite.

Mid-Tier Pitching:

  • Lance Lynn – (LAD @ SF) – FD: $9.5k/ DK: $8.6k – We know what we are going to get out of Lynn pretty much. I don’t like the price, but he’s going to give us 30-34 fantasy points tonight.
  • Carlos Rodon – (NYY @ KC) – FD: $8.7k / DK: $7.1k – He has the best match-up on the board against the Royals. This match-up has a 28% combined K-rate. I wish he were a little cheaper given the volatility he has.
  • Chase Silseth – (LAA vs. OAK) – FD: $7.7k / DK: $6.9k – Home favorite taking on the A’s today. The A’s have a 26% K-rate to righties and have averaged 14 K’s over their last three games. This is really a no-floor-but-ton-of-upside play.
  • John Means – (BAL vs. BOS) – FD: $7.4k / DK: $7.4k – Boston’s offense has been cold lately and I think we have a similar situation as Silseth here. Not much of a floor, but could have a ceiling game.

Door #3 Pitcher:

  • Jordan Lyles – (KC vs. NYY) – FD: $7.2k / DK: $5.3k – He averages 29% more fantasy points at home. Not an ideal match-up against the Yankees, but we’ve seen pitchers have ceiling games against them, and in three of his last five match-ups against them, he’s score 40+ fantasy points.

  • Braves
