TX’s 8/13/23 MLB Breakdown

Intro:
What’s up, 4 DEEP?! We have eight games on the Main Slate today. Let’s get into it!

TX’s Elite Pitching:

Freddy Peralta – He just has enormous upside when he’s on, so it’s hard not to start him. He gets the White Sox today. Overall, he’s in the best match-up, but he struggles on the road.
Eury Perez – At home today against the Yankees. The Yankees have a 24% K-rate to righties. Perez has scored 40 FPPG or more in his six home games and 30 FPPG over his last 12.

TX’s Mid-Tier Pitching:

Ranger Suarez – I think this could be a game where he gets back on track and has a 40+ fantasy point outing. The Twins have a 26% K-rate, .292 wOBA, and a .165 ISO to lefties.
Chase Silseth – Has looked really good recently, I believe he’s added a few pitches to his toolbox, but it’s a tough match-up against the Trashcan Bangers today, so proceed with caution.
Jose Urquidy – I like the discount we are getting on him today, since he’s just coming back. Ohtani is just waiting to bust out of his little slump, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he gets one or two off him, but the Angels are only hitting .180 against him in 38 at bats.

TX’s Door #3 Pitcher:

Brandon Williamson – He got an extra day of rest with that PPD last night. The Pirates have a 28% K-rate, .285 wOBA, and .105 ISO to lefties. I like the price point here for the upside we could see.
