Scarface’s 2023 NFL Week 8 Intro:
Welcome, 4Deeps, to my weekly NFL GPP article. Time to pick up right where we left off last year, coming off my best NFL season and helping you guys win also. I want to welcome the new subs and let you know that it won’t be pretty every week, but the weeks that are, we will go straight to the top.

In this article, I will list my favorite plays at each position with a mini breakdown, followed by some game stack ideas we can use in GPPs, and my Core 4 building blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel. In keeping with the Scarface theme, I will conclude with my “Say Hello to My Little Friend” (Slate Edge Play), “Every Dog Has His Day” (Favorite Value Play), and “Say Goodnight to the Bad Guy” (Chalk Fade).

QB:
- Jalen Hurts – Washington is the worst pass D in the league. I like him a lot more on FD due to his Rushing TD upside.
- Lamar Jackson – I see Lamar putting up a big number again like last week.
- Joe Burrow – I think he comes out of the bye week fully healthy and focused. The Niners’ pass D is very beatable as we saw on Monday night.
- CJ Stroud – He’s going to stick it to Carolina for picking Bryce Young over him. Love him here.
- Sam Darnold – I want Purdy to miss so bad so I can play Darnold here. His price is amazing and Kyle Shanahan will put him in position to have a big day.
- Derek Carr – If Darnold doesn’t play, then Carr is my preferred spend down at QB. He’s averaging 325 yards passing the last two weeks and I like him here inside a Dome against a bad Indy D.
RB:
- Christian McCaffrey – If Darnold plays, rostering CMC becomes much easier .
- Travis Etienne – He has two TDs in each of his last three games and is leading the NFL in carries.
- Alvin Kamara – He is back to having an elite role in this offense.
- Tony Pollard – If his price were higher, I may have passed on him, but I think he’s too cheap this week.
- Isiah Pacheco – Steady fantasy producer that just needs to get in the end zone to have a big day.
- Breece Hall – Another RB that is too underpriced. Also coming off a bye week in a great matchup.
- Damien Pierce / Devin Singletary – Carolina is the absolute best matchup for RBs. My preference would be Pierce on FD and Singletary on DK.
WR:
- Tyreek Hill – ‘Reek is matchup proof and there is no one on NE that can cover him. He is going to roast this banged up Patriots D this week.
- Ja’Marr Chase – Coming off a bye against an overrated SF secondary.
- Garrett Wilson – His TDs are coming, and when they do, he’s going to put up slate-winning numbers.
- Christian Kirk – He is the best receiver on the Jags and one of my favorite tournament plays.
- Devonta Smith – I hate to keep saying that he’s due, but he really is.
- Terry McLaurin – He has his biggest games against the NFC East. Love his price on DK.
- Zay Flowers – Going to be extremely chalky, but his price is in that range that makes a lot of lineups work.
- George Pickens – Pickens over Diontae for me.
- Nico Collins / Tank Dell / Noah Brown – Love the Houston passing attack this week. Robert Woods is out, so I don’t mind Noah Brown as a punt in tournaments.
- Kendrick Bourne – Always underpriced and has been producing every week.
- Rashid Shaheed – I think we see a big play or two from him this week. My favorite cheap receiver on both sites.
TE:
- Travis Kelce – Same as every week, if you can fit him you play him
- TJ Hockenson – Gaining more and more production each week with JJ out.
- George Kittle – I like him a lot more if Darnold plays.
- Dalton Schultz – Houston Passing Attack.
- Trey McBride – With Ertz out, he’s a nice cheap option, but will be highly owned.
DEF:
Defense is always a crapshoot. My strategy most weeks is to build out my lineups first and see which defenses I land on. These are some that I will be using:
- Atlanta
- Seattle
- Jets
- Philly
- New Orleans
- Cinci
Game Stack Ideas For GPPs:
- Texans – CJ Stroud / Collins or Dell / Schultz or Noah Brown.
- Saints – Carr / Kamara / Shaheed
- Eagles at Commanders – Hurts / Devonta Smith. Run it back with McLaurin.
- 49ers vs. Bengals – Darnold / CMC / Kittle. Run it back with Chase.

- BREECE HALL/PACHECO/SHAHEED/KIRK
Core 4 on DraftKings:
- KAMARA/BREECE HALL/SHAHEED/TYREEK
