Scarface’s 2023 NFL Week 3 Daily Fantasy Plays

Scarface's DraftKings NFL Daily Fantasy Plays

Scarface’s 2023 NFL Week 3 Intro:

Welcome, 4Deeps, to my weekly NFL GPP article. Time to pick up right where we left off last year, coming off my best NFL season and helping you guys win also. I want to welcome the new subs and let you know that it won’t be pretty every week, but the weeks that are, we will go straight to the top.

In this article, I will list my favorite plays at each position with a mini breakdown, followed by some game stack ideas we can use in GPPs, and my Core 4 building blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel. In keeping with the Scarface theme, I will conclude with my “Say Hello to My Little Friend” (Slate Edge Play), “Every Dog Has His Day” (Favorite Value Play), and “Say Goodnight to the Bad Guy” (Chalk Fade).

Also don’t forget to check out the Mayhem Minute section on Game Day for a more narrowed breakdown of my favorite plays at each position.

UPDATES: PLEASE CHECK BACK SUNDAY MORNING FOR UPDATES.

Thoughts on the Slate:

With the Minnesota/Charger game holding a 54 total, you don’t need me to tell you that you should be targeting plays in this game. The passing and running games from both sides are fully in play. Josh Kelley may be someone I lock in on both sites, as I think we see a big bounce back from him. You can definitely stack Cousins with Justin Jefferson and one of his other receivers. My preference would be KJ Osborn over Addison due to pricing. The only one I would not be playing is Hockenson because I don’t think I can pay his price when I could just pay up a little more and get Kelce. Alexander Mattison is a nice leverage off the chalkier passing attack, although he should be getting some ownership as well.

On the Charger side, Herbert paired with Mike Williams is my preference, but you can definitely use Keenan Allen as well and a double stack with Herbert, Kelley, and one of his receivers is in play as well. I think pieces of this game are needed on this slate and I will use my article to show ways to get different at other positions should you choose to go in that direction. Also there are plenty of pending injury statuses, so stay close in discord up to lock.

I will be available in Discord Sunday Mornings for any questions you have about your lineups. ??

QB:

  • Josh Allen – I’m always going to be interested in a 5% Josh Allen. Washington’s defense has struggled against Dobbs and Wilson, and I can see Allen carving them up in the air and on the ground.
  • Lamar Jackson – He is sandwiched in between Herbert and Cousins in pricing, and unlike both of them, he can get there with his legs, as we saw him double his rush attempts last week. He is still underpriced, especially on FD.
  • Dak Prescott – The Dak breakout game is coming and it should be this week when no one is on him. While most will pay up for Pollard, it could be the Dallas passing attack that shreds the Arizona D.
  • Trevor Lawrence – Houston’s defense looked horrible last week at home against Indy. I have a lot of interest in the Jax receivers and Lawrence as well.

RB:

  • Travis Etienne – At home against the Houston defense, he should get 20+ touches.
  • Kenneth Walker – Carolina’s defense is banged up, plus they are on a short week traveling West. Love Walker here.
  • Miles Sanders – Popular play this week, and especially on DK. Don’t think I’ll get to him on FD.
  • Raheem Mostert – Love his price and doesn’t seem to have anyone else competing for touches behind him.
  • Jerome Ford – Not the best matchup, but his price is way too cheap.
  • Jerick McKinnon – If Pacheco misses, he will be extremely popular. But if Pacheco is in, I still like McKinnon as a tournament play.

WR:

  • CeeDee Lamb – Perfect tournament play to get off all that WR chalk. No reason to think he doesn’t eat against this Arizona D, even in a blowout.
  • Calvin Ridley / Christian Kirk – With Zay Jones ruled out, one or both will see an increase in targets. I like using as least one in a lineup, or pair them both with Lawrence.
  • Amari Cooper – Priced cheap on both sites and Tennessee is the best matchup for him and Watson to start connecting.
  • Zay Flowers – Should be able to get open at will against Indy, plus OBJ getting ruled out only helps his targets.
  • Rashod Bateman – For the same reason I like Zay. Bateman’s snap share doubled last week, so at some point he is gonna get his shot for some big plays. Why not this week in this matchup?
  • Tank Dell – Nice cheap option if you need the savings. Saw 10 targets last week and Houston should be throwing in this game.

TE:

  • Travis Kelce – Kelce is such a tough fade this week. The matchup is amazing and he is easy to get to on both sites.
  • Evan Engram – Love pairing him with T-Law.
  • Hayden Hurst – Seattle struggles against TEs and Dalton should be targeting him.
  • Taysom Hill – Hill is going to be used out of the backfield with the Saints thin at RB. I can see him vulturing a couple of rushing TDs and busting the slate.
  • Tyler Conklin – Saw six targets last week and I think we’re gonna see more of that with Wilson under center.
  • Durham Smyth- If Waddle misses, he becomes an even better value play.

DEF:

Defense is always a crapshoot. My strategy most weeks is to build out my lineups first and see which defenses I land on. These are some that I will be using:

  • Dallas
  • KC
  • Jax
  • Seattle
  • NYJ
  • Buffalo

Game Stack Ideas:

For GPPs outside of the Viking/Charger game.

  • Baltimore – Lamar Jackson / Zay Flowers and/or Bateman
  • Jacksonville vs. Houston – Trevor Lawrence / Ridley / Kirk or Engram, run it back with Tank Dell
  • Milly Maker Stack: Buffalo @ Washington – Allen / Diggs / Knox or Kincaid, run it back with Jahan Dotson

Core 4 on FanDuel:

  • Kelley/Walker/Mike Williams/Kelce

Core 4 on DraftKings:

  • Kelly/Walker/Williams/Smythe

Say Hello To My Little Friend: Dak and CeeDee

Every Dog Has His Day: Amari Cooper

Say Goodnight To The Bad Guy: AJ Dillon
