Scarface’s 2023 NFL Week 17 Intro:
Welcome, 4Deeps, to my weekly NFL GPP article. Time to pick up right where we left off last year, coming off my best NFL season and helping you guys win also. I want to welcome the new subs and let you know that it won’t be pretty every week, but the weeks that are, we will go straight to the top.
In this article, I will list my favorite plays at each position with a mini breakdown, followed by some game stack ideas we can use in GPPs, and my Core 4 building blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel. In keeping with the Scarface theme, I will conclude with my “Say Hello to My Little Friend” (Slate Edge Play), “Every Dog Has His Day” (Favorite Value Play), and “Say Goodnight to the Bad Guy” (Chalk Fade).

SUNDAY UPDATES: 12/31 – AFTER DIGGING MORE INTO THE MATCHUP AND PRICING IM ADDING JOSH ALLEN AND STEFON DIGGS TO MY PLAYER POOL, ESPECIALLY ON FD WHERE DIGGS IS WAY TOO CHEAP. ALSO ADDING JERRY JEUDY. I WAS ALREADY ON ACHANE BEFORE THE MOSTERT NEWS BUT YOU CAN UPGRADE HIM EVEN MORE NOW
QB:
- Jalen Hurts – Matchup against Arizona is about as good as it gets.
- Lamar Jackson – I feel like this game is going overlooked. This is one of the higher totals on the slate with a lot of playmakers on both sides and we saw them shoot out last time they played each other.
- Brock Purdy – Bounce back spot against another bad defense.
- Will Levis – This game has shootout potential and Levis is cheap and easy to pair.
- Tyrod Taylor – Very cheap and should easily pay off this tag. You can play him naked or pair him with one of his cheap receivers and spend up everywhere else.
RB:
- Christian McCaffrey – Same story with CMC. If you can fit him, play him. Much easier click on DK than FD where he is $11k .
- Kyren Williams – He’s basically a cheaper CMC.
- Rachaad White – Consistent every week.
- Jonathan Taylor – Raider Defense could come in flat after a big win.
- James Cook – Had a down week last week, but still got 20 carries.
- De’Von Achane – Waddle is out and Mostert is hurt. Achane could be involved more in the passing game. I like him with or without Mostert playing.
- D’Andre Swift – Swift has been unlucky with goal line looks going to Hurts, but against Arizona I could see him busting one or two to the house.
- Devin Singletary – We’ve seen this before with Singletary; chalk the previous week and busts and everyone jumps off and he goes off. This is a good game environment for him to go off again.
- Zamir White – I’m not crazy about the Raiders this week, but White’s price is way too cheap with Jacobs out again.
WR:
- Tyreek Hill – No Waddle only means more targets for ‘Reek. On paper this is a bad matchup, but ‘Reek is matchup-proof.
- AJ Brown – He’s been quiet lately, but what better way to bounce back than against Arizona.
- Deebo Samuel / Brandon Aiyuk – All the Niners are in good spots.
- Mike Evans – The Saint Defense has not looked good and they do not have Lattimore in this game, which puts Evans firmly in play.
- Nico Collins – Stroud is back in a great matchup.
- Chris Olave / Rashid Shaheed – The Bucs secondary is one to exploit.
- DeAndre Hopkins – Getting Levis back.
- Zay Flowers – Much more upside now that he’s been finding the end zone.
- Terry McLaurin / Curtis Samuel – Either one makes for a good runback in SF stacks.
- Value Plays – Demario Douglas, Wandale Robinson, Jonathan Mingo, Darius Slayton, Michael Wilson, Quentin Johnson, Ronald Moore
TE:
- Trey McBride – Has been the best option at TE for weeks.
- George Kittle – All the Niners.
- Dalton Schultz – Stroud back.
- Gerald Everett – The Chargers’ best receiving option at this point.
- Isaiah Likely – Pair him with Lamar.
- Chig Okonkwo – More involved lately and finally scored last week.
DEF:
Defense is always a crapshoot. My strategy most weeks is to build out my lineups first and see which defenses I land on. These are some that I will be using:
- Denver
- Seattle
- Buffalo
- Kansas City
- Chicago
- Rams
Game Stack Ideas For GPPs:
- 49ers – Purdy / CMC / Deebo or Kittle
- Titans at Texans – Levis / Hopkins / Chig. Run it back with Collins or Singletary.
- Ravens vs. Dolphins – Lamar / Zay or Likely. Run it back with ‘Reek or Achane.
- Eagles vs. Cardinals – Hurts / AJ Brown. Run it back with McBride or Wilson.

- ZAMIR WHITE/ACHANE/HOPKINS/NICO COLLINS
Core 4 on DraftKings:
- CMC/ ZAMIR WHITE/SHAHEED/HOPKINS
