Scarface’s 2023 NFL Week 16 Intro:
Welcome, 4Deeps, to my weekly NFL GPP article. Time to pick up right where we left off last year, coming off my best NFL season and helping you guys win also. I want to welcome the new subs and let you know that it won’t be pretty every week, but the weeks that are, we will go straight to the top.
In this article, I will list my favorite plays at each position with a mini breakdown, followed by some game stack ideas we can use in GPPs, and my Core 4 building blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel. In keeping with the Scarface theme, I will conclude with my “Say Hello to My Little Friend” (Slate Edge Play), “Every Dog Has His Day” (Favorite Value Play), and “Say Goodnight to the Bad Guy” (Chalk Fade).

QB:
- Dak Prescott – Dak is going to have a bounce back game, it’s just a matter of paying his price and how you play him. Pairing him with CeeDee becomes real pricey.
- Justin Fields – Highest owned QB. He can be rostered naked or paired with his receivers.
- Jared Goff – He looked great last week at home. They’re on the road this week, but in a dome where the Lions play their best. Goff will go overlooked with most people playing Mullens on the other side of this game.
- Joe Flacco – I never thought at the beginning of this season I’d be writing up Flacco as a play, but he’s got this offense rolling and has another good matchup this week.
- Nick Mullens – Projecting to be the second most owned QB.
- Taylor Heinicke – Not a horrible option if you want to dumpster dive. They are at home and he is cheap. He is also easy to pair with London and allows you to spend up.
RB:
- Rachaad White – I use him every week. He is still underpriced for his role in this offense.
- Breece Hall – Anyone against Washington.
- Chuba Hubbard – Too cheap for a RB averaging 24 carries a week.
- Ty Chandler – Not feeling his high ownership, but chalk can be your friend. I wouldn’t go too crazy with him.
- Devin Singletary – Another RB that is very underpriced. Stroud is out and the receivers are all banged up.
- Antonio Gibson – He was heavy chalk in this very same spot last week with Robinson out and busted. I’ll have interest if his ownership stays in check.
WR:
- Tyreek Hill – Plenty of risk here, but a sub-10% Tyreek has to be on your radar.
- Amon-Ra St. Brown – Love The Sun God in these game environments.
- Justin Jefferson – The DK pricing on him is very soft. I would not play him on FD.
- DJ Moore – Got to love him in this matchup and paired with Fields.
- DK Metcalf – The Tennessee secondary was trash to begin with and now they are missing more players.
- Amari Cooper – Much better now with Flacco at QB.
- Calvin Ridley – I’m never crazy about playing Ridley, but I cannot ignore this matchup.
- DeAndre Hopkins – I like him more if Levis starts.
- Garrett Wilson – Anyone against Washington.
- GB Receivers – We’re going to have to monitor these injuries.
- Value Plays – Michael Wilson, Rondale Moore, Jamison Williams, Jamaal Agnew
TE:
- Sam LaPorta – If you’re spending up at TE, he will be the lowest owned of the spend-ups.
- TJ Hockenson – Revenge 💪🏼.
- Trey McBride – A great play every week and has a great matchup and should see more targets with injuries to the receivers.
- Evan Engram – Has taken on a bigger role with Kirk out and this is a good matchup.
- David Njoku – Looks like Gronk with Flacco at QB.
- Cole Kmet – Another way to play Fields stacks.
- Tucker Kraft – Targets will be there with injuries.
DEF:
Defense is always a crapshoot. My strategy most weeks is to build out my lineups first and see which defenses I land on. These are some that I will be using:
- Cleveland
- Jets
- Dallas
- Chicago
- Tampa Bay
Game Stack Ideas For GPPs:
- Bears vs. Cardinals – Fields / Moore. Run it back with McBride or a cheap AZ receiver.
- Lions at Vikings – Goff / Amon-Ra. Run it back with JJ, Chandler, or Hock.
- Browns – Flacco / Cooper / Njoku
- Vikings – Mullens / Chandler / JJ or Hock
