Ranking Notes

I’ve adjusted my RB tiers a bit. The 4th and 5th tiers were beginning to blend lines and I combined the two while expanding the new 5th tier. The 5th tier is loaded with handcuffs I am targeting to round out my bench. Also, as always, make sure to check out the back half of the RB rankings. Tightening them up weekly as the season nears and depth charts are clearer. As always, check out the handcuff tier to see who I am targeting. You should leave every draft with 2-3 WRs on your bench that you can start in a pinch for injuries or your bye weeks, and everything else should be hand-cuff RBs with immense upside.

QB

DOWN ⬇️

Matthew Stafford ⬇️ 6 Spots

As I’ve mentioned in chat, I am getting bad vibes from Cooper Kupp. If Kupp is down, he has to knock Stafford. If we get good news about Kupp in the coming days before you draft, I would move Stafford back up those 6 spots.

RB

UP ⬆️

Raheem Mostert ⬆️ 7 Spots / Salvon Ahmed ⬆️ 40 Spots

Target Mostert late in your drafts. He is the unquestioned RB1. Ahmed is the handcuff to the volatile Mostert now that Dolphins Head Coach, Mike McDaniel, has been quoted saying he “won’t be surprised if Jeff Wilson returns this season” which isn’t promising for the Dolphins RB. Don’t draft Wilson.

DOWN ⬇️

Jonathan Taylor ⬇️ 21 Spots

He is out for at least the first four games of the season. The situation in Indy is extremely volatile, and there is a slim chance JT doesn’t play this year. I think the likeliest outcome is Taylor gets traded at the deadline and ends up playing the second half of the season.

Jeffrey Wilson ⬇️ 22 Spots

He is hurt. May not play this year. Don’t draft him.

WR

Cooper Kupp ⬇️ 9 spots / Van Jefferson ⬆️ 11 Spots

I’m moving Cooper Kupp down. I’ve been so bullish on Kupp all year. Last year, he was the WR1 in PPG, even more so than Justin Jefferson. It seemed the entire offense was healthy and firing on full cylinders. I hate to be dramatic, but soft tissue injuries linger. We have two outcomes with Kupp. He is healthy, and he balls out and regains that WR1 spot, with Stafford throwing him the rock. The other outcome? Kupp can’t get healthy, and the Rams plod to a terrible season and don’t rush Kupp back, making him a nightmare to roster. Tread lightly. In correlation to Kupp being moved down, Van is now the WR1 in LA. I move him up, and I want him on my bench.

Wan’Dale Robinson ⬆️ 16 Spots

Wan’Dale seems healthy and ready to overtake the Giants’ slow role. His return should slow the volume expectation for Waller. I like Robinson, but I’m not necessarily going out of my way to snag him. However, he can usually be had with your last pick for online drafts since he is buried in the rankings.

Jayden Reed ⬆️ 10 Spots

I’m still not really interested in Reed, but he is going to see playing time in three WR sets. It will likely be 4th or 5th on the target pecking order. It is worth a stash with late-season upside if there are some injuries. A talented player who has a bright future, though.

Tank Dell / John Metchie ⬇️ 13 Spots

I’m moving the pair down. The more I dig into the Texans, the more neither will emerge. This WR group will be diverse, and the team overall will be run-heavy. None of these two will start over the bigger-body WRs who can block better.
