Price’s 2024 Genesis Invitational Daily Fantasy Plays

Price’s 2024 Genesis Invitational DFS Breakdown

This week they head out to LA for Tiger’s Genesis Invitational. It is an invite-only, 70-man field with a cut after two rounds down to the top 50+ players within 10 shots of the leader. This is a great field, with almost all the best players on tour. Pricing is nice, the course is awesome, and we want guys who are strong off the tee and have good short games. The greens can be difficult, and if it gets windy, this course is brutally tough. Hopefully, we can get one week where there are no weather delays, and maybe we will see Jerry on TV this week. The contests are back to being awesome since NFL is done, so get ready for the run up to the Masters of monster DK contests and big payouts. This is an event you play like a no-cut contest, and ownership pivots will be huge by the time it starts because everybody is gravitating towards a more balanced build with the course history guys who pop in their models.  All prices listed are for DraftKings.

$9K+:

  • One of Scheffler/Rory – They’re the two best in the world for a reason, if you can make them work I like them, but my stance will be Rory over Scottie.
  • Morikawa- Great history here, accurate off the tee, elite tee to green.
  • Aberg- Never played here before, but Ludvig is a top 5 player in the world right now and too cheap.
  • Thomas- Chalk alert, but has been elite coming in and has great history here.
  • Spieth- He will be lower owned in this range, looked solid off the tee last week and we know how amazing his short game is.

$7.5K+:

  • Finau – Dude just murders this course, has solid form coming in and five years of solid play at this venue.
  • Fleetwood – He will be very low owned because of who’s around him, he’s a great pivot.
  • Burns – He will be chalky because of how well he’s played coming in, mediocre history here, but has a third place also.
  • Theegala – Another chalky play, he has good history here and coming off back to back top 20’s his last two tournaments played, including a fifth last week.
  • Clark – Clark should be popular, his game fits this course, and he’s been solid to start the year. He has three made cuts in four tries here with the one miss being a DQ.
  • Scott – Uber chalk, can’t fade him in cash, has elite history here with a win and a handful of top 10’s.
  • Day – I think he goes overlooked. Finished ninth here last year and has looked solid to start the year.
  • Hojgaard – Love this guy’s game, he hits it a mile and is an elite putter, which you want here.

$6K+:

  • Harman – Harman has been good, not great, both with recent form and course history. I don’t love him, but he keeps it in play and shouldn’t play himself outside of the cut line.
  • Davis – Elite birdie maker in basically a no-cut event, only a couple made cuts here, but has a couple top 30’s in his last three events played.
  • Hossler – Gaining strokes across the board, with three top 10’s in his last sven events, and has a 15th place finish here.
  • English – English has looked solid this season, is cheap, finished 12th here last year.
  • Grillo – Has amazing form coming in with four straight top 22’s, has added some distance off the tee while maintaining accuracy and his short game has been better.
  • Montogmery – Missed the cut on the number here last year, and has six made cuts in a row coming in.
  • Griffin – Solid start to the year, no history here, but is cheap and helps fit Rory or Scottie.
  • Moore – Has four made cuts in a row coming in, has a 21st and a MC here. Solid player for cheap price.
  • Ryder – His fall swing form has fallen off, but he has back to back top 26 finishes here the last two years and is min priced.
  • If you want to play Tiger, by all means he generally makes the cut here, but unless his leg holds up, it’ll be tough to take down anything with him.
