Ben’s NBA Daily Fantasy 2023 Christmas Day Plays
Merry Christmas, 4DEEP!!! The five-game NBA slate is by far my favorite NBA slate of the year and I couldn’t be more excited to write this article for you all. At the time I’m writing this, I feel pretty confident about the injury news, but I’ll do my best to update if anything changes. I will be traveling early Monday morning for my family Christmas, which is three hours away, so it may be delayed. But Merry Christmas you filthy animals and let’s win all the money!!
UPDATE: Embiid is out and we are going to want to load up on Philly guys here. Maxey’s price has dropped, making him the top player on the slate! It’s going to be important to see who gets the start for Embiid. It could be Morris or Reed, I plan to go with whichever one gets the nod. Outside of that, Melton becomes a core play along with Harris. Also very interested in Kelly Oubre. I’ll have at least 2-4 Sixers in every lineup I build. Should be EZ money today!

PG
- Luka Doncic DK $11,400 – Luka is currently doing everything for this Mavs team.
- Tyrese Maxey DK $8,600 – With no Embiid, Maxey will have full control over the offense and his price has dipped down to the lowest it’s been in a long time.
- Jalen Brunson DK $8,400 – The Bucks have been awful against opposing guards since the addition of Lillard. Going to be hard to go him straight up over Maxey now, but I don’t mind fitting both in your lineups.
- Kyle Lowry DK $4,900 – As low as I would go at PG today and only if Butler is out. It’s not pretty, but he can pay off this price tag.
- SPEND UP FOR PG TODAY.
SG
- Jaylen Brown DK $8,500 – Always my preferred Celtic with the salary relief from Tatum and I think this game stays close.
- Tyler Herro DK $8,400 – Will be someone I def try to fit in my lineups if Butler is ruled out. If he’s ruled in, I think this price is too high for him.
- De’Anthony Melton DK $5,300 – Is a core play with Embiid out.
- Malik Beasley DK $4,900 – Can get hot from 3 and crush this price tag. Also in the highest total game on the slate.
SF
- LeBron James DK $10,000 – Best player to ever play the game and he’s still doing it at 38, almost 39, years of age. You have to pick and choose when you play The King and he’s def going to be motivated for this matchup. Lock and load him in your lineups!
- Jimmy Butler DK $8,100 – Has not been the Jimmy Butler we are used to seeing, but he thrives in big games, and at his current price, I don’t mind him one bit if he plays.
- Jonathan Kuminga DK $5,600 – I love Kuminga today and he will be in the majority of my lineups. The Warriors are better with him in the lineup and no Draymond.
- Kelly Oubre Jr DK $5,200 – At this cheap price and no Embiid, you have to consider him. You can legit play four Sixers in your lineup and feel good about it.
PF
- Giannis DK $10,700 – Highest total on the slate and Knicks’ rim protection takes a huge hit with Robinson gone. It’s between him and the Joker if spending all the way up.
- Tobias Harris DK DK $6,400 – Gets a huge bump and becomes the team’s #2 options with Embiid out. My favorite Sixer behind Maxey and Melton.
- Al Horford DK $6,100 – Comes into play if Porzingis is ruled out.
- Jackson-Davis DK $5,300 – Is a lock and load play if Wiggins is ruled out again.
- Marcus Morris DK $4,200 – Is the projected starter for Embiid.
C
- Nikola Jokic DK $10,900 – No one on the Warriors will be able to stop him.
- Anthony Davis DK $10,100 – Has put up 50+ DK points in his last 11 games and the Lakers will need a big game from him for this to stay close.
- Bam Adebayo DK $8,800 – Especially if Butler is ruled out, but no one in the Sixers front court will be able to guard him.
- Drew Eubanks DK $4,800 – Killed us last game, but I’m willing to go back to him one more time here.
- Paul Reed DK $4,300 – Will become a core play if he gets the start for Embiid.
